I've been trying to seriously think about what I want to do as a future career and at the moment my mind is dead set on fashion illustration and design. I know the field is very competitive and you have to work hard to get there. I need someone to honestly tell me the chances of ever getting a reasonable pay in such a job though.
For those who don't really know me, I am reasonably hard working and I get good grades. I don't really know if I have the 'talent' or 'creativity' though. And FYI, I want to become a designer on a existing line (preferably something like ready to wear/pret a porter fashion rather than high street and mass market clothing) and not start my own clothing line.
I'm asking on this website in hope that someone may know a bit more about the fashion industry. And don't give me bullshit like 'anything is possible if you work hard' :3
I need to think of a back-up in case this doesn't work out so suggestions for that is appreciated as well!
